What We Treat

Our physicians and staff combine in-house diagnostic services, such as EKG, X-rays, pulse oximetry and laboratory testing of blood, urine, and stool,  with state-of-the-art treatment modalities. These include splints, suturing techniques, wound adhesives, intravenous medications and fluids, and inhalation therapy with oxygen and aerosolized medications, previously available only in the emergency room.  In many cases, South Bay Urgent Care is the ideal alternative to the emergency room.

Our experienced team of medical professionals at South Bay Urgent Care provides exceptional care for the following conditions:

When to Call 911

Our urgent care services differ from those that are offered at an emergency room in that they are not intended for serious, life-threatening conditions. In cases that may be life-threatening or potentially result in the loss of a limb or damage to an organ, time is of the essence, and 911 should be called immediately.  While South Bay Urgent Care is  able to handle non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, the following life-threatening conditions should be handled in an emergency room setting.

These conditions include, but are not limited to:

  • severe injuries (ones which could result in possible loss of life or limb, or cause permanent impairments)

  • symptoms of a heart attack (chest pain, shortness of breath, or dizziness)

  • symptoms of a stroke (facial numbness and drooping, slurred speech, inability to move a limb)

  • severe abdominal pain

  • coughing up or vomiting blood

  • difficulty breathing

  • sudden blurred vision

  • sudden severe headache

  • seizures

  • severe burns

  • deep cuts or non-stop bleeding

  • for serious illness or injury, call 911
